Uluwatu is located on the south coast of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula (Bukit meaning hill in Indonesian). Uluwatu is one of Bali's most revered Hindu Temples, perched on top of a cliff overlooking the ocean.
The Bukit Peninsula is less developed than most places in Bali and has great isolated beaches including Uluwatu Beach, Dreamlands and Padang Padang Beach all great for surfing. Uluwatu Temple is devoted to the Hindu god's of the sea. On the grounds of the temple are many monkeys which can be vicious so take precautions.
Kecak dancing is performed in the grounds of Uluwatu temple every night at 6pm. The performance goes for around 90 minutes. As well as the famous Kecak dance they perform fire dancing.
New Kuta Championship Golf Course Getting there and away From Denpasar airport it takes around 45 minutes by taxi to get to the Bukit Peninsular. A taxi will cost around 185,000Rp depending on where your hotel is located.
