Jakarta has a pumping nightlife with bars and nightclubs scattered all over the city. Many of the most popular bars are located within the 5 star hotels like Grand Hyatt hotel. There is a mixture of live bands playing cheesy pop music to hard core dance music at some of the larger clubs and bars.
Burgundy Bar (used to be called O’Reily’s Bar) is on the 4th Floor of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. A more upmarket bar with higher drink prices. Check out video from Burgundy Bar. Entrance to Burgundy Bar is free. A Bintang draft beer costs 50,000Rp.

Tanamur in located in Tanah Abang in central Jakarta. Tanamur has always been one of the more popular bars with loud music, girls dancing on stage and in cages. The action gets started late in Tanamur at around midnight. There is a mixture of expats, tourists and locals that frequent Tanamur.
JJ’s is located right next door to Tanamur
Tiga Puluh Music Bar in the Le Meredian Hotel. Have a rotation of local and international live bands and DJs playing music sets. Tiga Puluh is open Monday - Saturday 6pm - 3am and Sunday 6pm - 2am.
Stadium is the largest nightclub in Jakarta
There are many bars popular with expats and budget travelers along Jalan Jaksa in Central Jakarta. Many of these are open 24 hours. www.jalanjaksa.com
