Grand Hyatt Hotel Jakarta Reviews Review submitted 1st January 2012 - by Scott from Sydney Australia A top class hotel, probably 1 of the best in Jakarta and Indonesia. All the staff I dealt with were incredibly helpful and efficient, spoke excellent English and smiled. I stayed here on New Years Eve December 2011 and just stayed in the hotel as the streets outside were jam packed with people waiting for the fireworks over the Selamat Datang Monument. Best place to watch is either at the Fountain Lounge or at Burgundy Bar. If you plan to go out New Years Eve you will need to leave the hotel by around 8.30pm otherwise the taxi will take hours to get anywhere.
