Dua Dara Inn - Hotel Reviews

Review submitted 1st October 2011 - from John

I wouldn't Listen to Anthony, this place is the pits. Couldn't believe the state of the toilet and washing facilities - anyone who says its ok are talking rubbish and just trying to sound like a hardened traveller.

THERE IS A REASON THIS PLACE IS CHEAP, you pay for what you get, and my nightmare continued at home when I had to quarantine my bag and clothes due to BED BUGS. overall this place is a sham.

We arrived late in the evening, were dropped in Kuta and just walked around until we came across this hotel. It's really more of an upmarket backpackers than a hotel but seems to be fairly good value for money. We explored a few other places and this was the cheapest. There was a whole range of people staying there. The pool is lovely to spend an afternoon next to and provides some respite from the bustling streets on Kuta. The room is basic, the aircon works and has it's own bathroom with hot water. Having said that, the linen is quite old the walls are bare and stained as is the bathroom but it's clean and if you want a cheap place to stay I can recommend it. It\'s central with easy access to everything in Kuta. The staff are accommodating to an extent and can be helpful or very off-putting but I think it's more a case of a family run business with little host training. The breakfasts are nothing special but a meal which you don't often get for this price. I really think it has a lot of potential as a hotel. As they are improving the whole time I think.

we came in Dua Dara just now, n still being shocked. We spent there 3hrs when we noticed this place has worms in their tap water! I've never seen such thing in any hotel in my life. Disgusting, filthy, unhygienic. Imagine people staying their getting infecting by worms taking a shower in their water. The staff became very rude when we showed them, n we wanted to leave, with no payment for no service of course. I dunno whom to contact to stop this enterprise. N we just hope we didn't get infected. We took nematocids.

I've stayed in the hotel for a few days... and learn few things.. 1. if u take the room with fan... be ready for extra blanket coz the fan is too strong and if u turned it off. The room will turn into a microwave.. 2. the pool has too much chlorine. 3. if u planned to rent a bike from them... make sure they have the automatic one... if they said... only the manual one left, just go outside then u\'ll find plenty of bike rent along the street. overall it's worth the price

Have you stayed at the Dua Dara Inn Kuta?
