Restaurant information: Cafe Batavia is located within an old Dutch Colonial Building within Old Batavia (Kota) Jakarta. The restaurant serves a wide variety of cuisine including traditional Indonesia cuisine and Western cuisine. There are 2 bars and dining tables on the ground level and upstairs. Throughout the restaurant are some great old photos and also a collection of photos of famous people who have eaten at Cafe Batavia. Weekends they have a band playing and lunch times as well as during the week nights.

I went in for a leisurely lunch on Christmas Day. They had a special Christmas lunch menu though I couldn't go past the Batavia Burger which was huge with some nice tasty potato chips as a side. It's such a cool atmosphere in Cafe Batavia with the old decor and nice to sit upstairs overlooking the courtyard and the old buildings of Old Batavia. This is an absolute must visit place in Jakarta. The prices are reasonable for some good quality food.
